Thanks to the low-density polyethylene, the chopping board is both strong and sturdy allowing it to last long in the busy kitchen environments.Also, the colour-coded system allows for cross contamination to be avoided, so staff can keep to the health and safety precautions. The extra thick board boosts stability making it less likely to bend or break under pressure.And the non-absorbent material means there's less chance of cross contamination - making it easier to clean. The white colour is specifically for dairy products alongside other colours to eliminate the risk of cross contamination. A blue colour is specifically for raw fish, a red colour is for raw meat, yellow is for raw poultry, green is for fruit and vegetables, the brown colour is for cooked meats and the purple colour is for allergens. A different colour for each kind of ingredient helps chefs to stick to health and safety practices. Where possible please wash by hand using a non-chlorinated solution. For LDPE it is advised that washing in a dishwasher could cause warping & bowing of the board.
